Memphis. Home to Graceland, Sun Studios and, not-surprisingly, a pretty thriving hip hop scene. The city known as the “Birthplace of Rock ’n’ Roll” and “Home of the Blues” can now add “Rap Capital of The South” to its list of nicknames. Because, despite what you may have heard, there’s more to Memphis rap than Three 6 Mafia. Juicy J, Al Kapone, La Chat, and Crunchy Black all add their own flavor to the city’s cultural texture.
